located in a separate room in the rear of the library on the first floor of the building.
Maintained by the Essex Society of Genealogists, the

genealogies and 2,000 histories of local towns and cities.

County Mailing List. Here you will find hundreds of Essex County researchers trading information
in an almost "family" atmosphere (most are cousins.)
Spofford-L
Spofford-L is mailing list that
focuses on SPOFFORD, SPAFFORD, SPAFARD, AND SPAFORD family genealogy. This list gives those with Spofford
Ancestry a place to post messages and queries to a relatively small, but focused mailing
list. Its members are very friendly and helpful. No flames allowed!
Northeast-Roots-L
Northeast-Roots-L is a mailing list that
covers all of New England. It is a large list with messages concerning all NE states.
There are a number of members with considerable expertise in New England research.
